THG’s colleague, Dr. Tara McKay, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Health, and Society, at Vanderbilt University, will be presenting findings from two studies at the 2022 International AIDS Conference in Montreal, Canada (July 29-Aug 2).
The first is from the U=U Prevention Series Campaign conducted in Mississippi and Alabama during 2020-2021 by The Henne Group, ViiV Healthcare, Prevention Access Campaign, and Q-Catalytics. The presentation is titled “U=U Awareness Promotes Engagement in HIV Care among HIV Negative Men Who Have Sex with Men in Mississippi and Alabama” and includes contributions from THG’s Jeff Henne, Catherine Shinners, and Scott Schwartz.
Dr. McKay will also be presenting findings from a second study that was conducted in collaboration with The Sero Project. The study examined the effects of HIV criminalization laws on the experiences of people living with HIV. The presentation is titled, “HIV Criminalization Laws, Public Health Trust, and Uptake of COVID-19 Vaccine among People Living with HIV in the United States” and includes contributions from THG’s Jeff Henne, and The Sero Project’s Sean Strub and Tami Haugh.
